The unconventional approach to replica watchmaking of Harry Winston is clearly evident in the latest model of the Avenue collection, the Avenue Dual Time Automatic, with design solutions which are both innovative and bold.
The 53.80 mm x 35.80 mm x 10.70 mm case is new but maintains the key elements of the Harry Winston Replica Avenue watches collection: a rectangular shape and a central arch that embraces the hand-sewn alligator strap. It offers water resistance to 30 metres.
With faceted lugs, diamond-chamfered lines and a distinctive crown set at an angle, the case has a strong presence that can’t go unnoticed. It frames an off-centre dial with day/night indication for home time on the right and a retrograde indication for a second time zone on the left, on a different level and closer to the crystal.
The local time zone’s hands successively cross vertical openings, vanishing from one to reappear in the next. After 12, the hand instantly returns to 0 to start over.
The Harry Winston Avenue Dual Time Automatic is proposed in two case variations: Zalium, a proprietary ultra-light and scratch-resistant zirconium alloy, or Sedna gold, a 18K gold alloy with a high proportion of palladium instead of the silver usual in rose gold alloys. Sedna gold was originally introduced by Omega, which is part of the Replica Swatch Group who also owns the Harry Winston brand.
The Zalium case is matched to a main dial in smoked sapphire crystal and a black upper dial with white gold applied markers, Sedna gold to a main dial in white smoked sapphire crystal and a silvered upper dial with pink gold applied markers.
The Avenue Dual Time is driven by the 4 Hz (28,800 vph) automatic movement calibre HW3502, which uses the crown to control all functions. Pulling on the crown removes from sight the red hand of the local time indication. The time is set by cheap replica watching the number in the small circular opening at the centre of the dial. Pushing in the crown, the hand returns to its position.
The movement features an anti-magnetic silicon balance spring and an oscillating weight in white gold. It is finely finished with Côtes de Genève, circular graining and chamfered bridges, visible through the sapphire caseback.
